The Trauma of War

We are all affected by war.

The Russian invasion of the Ukraine has set the world in turmoil.

Still reeling from the COVID-19 pandemic, this new conflict has sent us spiraling once again.

We are bombarded with news reports, livestreams on social media, and questions. So many questions.

While this war may not be in our country, it’s in our lives, in our homes. Technology allows us to experience the horrors firsthand. We see the distraught mother loving on her soldier son. We read the text messages from a scared boy to his mom. We hear the cries and screams of those being bombed.

And we sit helplessly watching, waiting, and wondering.

You are not helpless. There are things you can do to not only support those in conflict, but to protect yourself and your loved ones emotionally and mentally.
